HERE'S TO A GREAT 2011! | | It's a New Year and we are excited to bring on a new customer support representative to help with our growing client base. We welcome Tascha to the team.
| January was such a busy month for us that we were not able to get a newsletter together. We've been taking on new projects and look forward to the launch of many new websites in the upcoming month.
Programming has also been very busy working on more upgrades and new features on our applications.
Another growing division of our company is Internet marketing services. Alternate Image is offering a wider array of SEO services with our Assisted SEO program, starting at just $99 a month.
Our company is growing and we look forward to this year and what 2011 has in store for Alternate Image.

|  | This month's featured client is the Sahara Motel in Daytona Beach, FL. The Sahara Motel is a family owned business and we have really enjoyed working with them over the past few months.
The Sahara Motel has never had a website before and realized the need to have guests be able to book online. Their new website uses the Open Hotel booking engine by Alternate Image, has a photo gallery and a guestbook for reviews.
The design uses warm gold colors against a cloudy blue sky background. This design combined with their great location photos and featured specials on the home page give website visitors all the incentive to book online.

Channel Rush Interface for Open Hotel Booking Engine
| Hoteliers that use Channel Rush to manage all of their GDS rates and maintain parity between all of the channels used to distribute their rates can now benefit from an interface to manage wholesalers, GDS, and our hotel booking engine. We expect this to be working soon.

This will ensure that our new support person, Tascha, will be able to see your request and handle it quickly. Although Morgan and Val will still be assisting Tascha with support requests while she is training, they are both moving away from support to focus on accounting and marketing activities.
ZIMBRA DESKTOP - FOR EMAILS
Outlook fans rejoice! Zimrba has created a free, full featured desktop application that will sync with your mobile device and webmail. This looks and acts just like Outlook. We are excited to use this new program and the setup is very easy. It is both Mac and PC compatible.
Why is this better than Outlook?
Use the desktop version to access your emails while at work and you can even add multiple email accounts. Use the webmail when you are at home and your folders and calendar items will sync with the desktop application. Use your mobile device to send emails on the go and this will also sync everything so that no matter where you check your email, all your folders and items are accessible.

TIP OF THE MONTH
Add Alt-Tags to your images for extra visibility from search engines. Search engines cannot "see" your pictures on your website, which is why Alt Tags are used to label the images. Adding your keywords as Alt Tags to your images will help your overall visibility with search engines. Read how to add Alt Tags to your images.

Creating "Tags" To Organize Images
The Media Manager, which is what you see when you click on the camera icon in your content management areas, now has the ability to "tag" media files so that you can find them easier. This is something sites with a lot of images will use to easily group and find images/media files in the content management system. Learn more about using Tags here.

Tascha is from Port Orange and has experience in the hospitality industry, retail and customer service. She has an Associates Degree in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality from the International Business College and has created many different websites for friends. We were impressed not only by her experience but by her outgoing and warm personality. We are excited to welcome Tascha to family at AI and know that our clients will love her!
MORGAN NAMED MARKETING DIRECTOR
Morgan Seedarnee has been promoted from Internet Marketing Specialist to Marketing Director at Alternate Image. After a year of handling customer support and working on Internet marketing campaigns for clients, Morgan will now be coordinating marketing activities for all of Alternate Image's brands while continuing to manage SEO and email marketing campaigns for clients.
